Fitbit Versa 2

This is a new device that was announced end of August 2019. This is a fitness tracker with smart watch options.

Interesting option here is build in Alexa that helps you to give a voice command to the watch. This is another look to smart watch where Fitbit tried to realize special approach by adding voice command. On official trailer it is claimed that battery life is 5 days, however not clear if always on display counted (I guess not). Otherwise, product looks quite nice and modern with a small deja vu to Apple series.

Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2

Samsung recently presented Active 2 together with Note 10. This is fitness tracker that can be used as a smart watch.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 is kind of upgrade of original Watch Active. Basically if you grab a thin Samsung Galaxy Watch Active and add the best of the more powerful Samsung Galaxy Watch you get the new version.

Watch Active 2 is available in two sizes 40mm and 44mm. The new 44mm version is good for those who have large wrists but don’t want to use the 46mm Galaxy Watch.

Otherwise, the physical differences compare to Watch Active are insignificant: the watch screen was enlarged by 0.1 inches compared to it’s predecessor. The Active 2 smart watch has a 1.2-inch display in the 40 mm model and a 1.4-inch display in the 44 mm version.

RAM: 768MB (1.5 GB LTE version)

Memory: 4GB

Design: Stylish, great for a sport mainly but looks good for smart look too

Screen: Amazing Samsung AMOLED display

Quality: Decent quality

OS: Tizen, works fine with Android OS

Battery: In normal usage up to 2 days (230 mAh) for smaller model and 340 mAh for bigger one.

Waterproof: Yes (IP68)

Pros: It’s a nice light fitness tracker/smart watch with rotating digital bezel. Compare to Samsung Galaxy Watch it is more elegant and can be a good choice if don’t need all the power presented in big heavyweight brother.

Cons: Battery! It is limited to two days max only on smaller model and bit more on 44mm version. Still, can’t be compared to Galaxy Watch.

Price range: $300 – $450 (higher price for LTE version
